Civil Engineering Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is a Civil and Environmental Engineering firm serving Georgia. Founded in 1986, CEC enters its 30th year in 2016 offering professional planning, design and construction administration services for potable water production and water reclamation facilities, water and sanitary sewer mains, water system hydraulic modeling, along with elevated water storage tanks, ground clear well water storage for clients that include municipalities and the private sector.
CEC has successfully completed the planning, design and construction administration on many large municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities including an 8.0 MGD Advanced Water Reclamation Facility, an 18.0 MGD and a 6.0 MGD expansion to a Potable Water Production Facility (PWPF) and a 105 MGD Raw Water Intake on Lake Lanier. CEC has designed and administered construction for 10 wastewater treatment plants for private developers ranging in size from 0.100 MGD to 0.750 MGD. Several facilities have later been purchased by the local municipalities to serve their Service Areas.
CEC has successfully completed large diameter water main projects totaling approximately 30,000 LF of pipe up to 48-inches in diameter for local municipalities. CEC has performed hundreds of fire hydrant flow tests and computer water models for private developers and municipalities throughout Georgia.
Mr. Butch Johnson, P.E. founded CEC in September of 1986 after many years at a nationally recognized engineering firm. Mr. Johnson retired in 2012. Mr. Andrew Lovejoy, P.E. was promoted to President and CEO in 2011 and currently manages all aspects of CEC’s operations.
